Musheng is an open-world NPC in Liyue Harbor. He can initially be found at Yujing Terrace during the day (06:00 – 19:00) and after completing the Archon Quest Rite of Descension in Chapter I: Act I - Of the Land Amidst Monoliths, he moves to Yiyan Temple.
He comes to the city once a year to offer incense to Rex Lapis. In the past, he was rescued from bandits by Xingqiu.

Musheng is a devout believer of Rex Lapis' and returns to Liyue Harbor every year to attend the Rite of Descension, although his normal job is never specified. He is fairly well-versed in folk beliefs pertaining to the Geo Archon, although some of it has later proven to be inaccurate, such as ascribing the title "God of the Stove" to Morax when it was originally Marchosius'.
While traveling to attend the Rite of Descension during Archon Quest Chapter I, Musheng was attacked by bandits. He was rescued by Xingqiu, and interpreted the boy's timely appearance to be divine intervention by Rex Lapis.
Appearance[]
Musheng takes the appearance of a young man, clad in typical Liyue attire. His outfit consists of a dark-teal button-up shirt adorned with cloud patterns, brown slacks, dark-brown boots that go up to his knees, and a black belt secured around his waist. His jet-black hair is styled in a side part, and he wears rectangular glasses over sharp dark-brown eyes. He also has a few accessories, such as a leather pouch by his side and wristbands on both of his arms.

- Musheng: I live in the countryside. I visit the city once a year at this time to burn incense as an offering to the Geo Lord.

- Musheng: Well, just a short while back, I was set upon by bandits on the road to Liyue Harbor. It was only by the intervention of a young hero named "Xingqiu of the Guhua Clan" that I was saved.
- Musheng: This must have been the protection of Rex Lapis! He must have known that I was coming to offer incense, and thus stepped in to rescue me!
