Guyun Pillars are stone pillars of varying quality used to ascend Weapons.
Originating from Guyun Stone Forest, these pillars are the remnants of the stone spears that Morax used to defeat his enemies. Over time the defeated gods merged with the pillars, empowering them.[1]

Lore[]
Guyun Stone Forest is the cemetery of the former gods of Liyue,[2] as the stone pillars there are the remains of the stone spears Morax killed them with.[1] Over time the defeated gods merged with the pillars and hatred and curses periodically came from them, but were subdued every time by Xiao.[2] The defeated gods lost their sense of self long ago, and so their hatred is impersonal[3] and simply a result of their unrealized ideals, concepts for a prosperous humanity that were impossible.[4]
