Activation Devices are items that can be found in the Great Red Sand, Sumeru. They are used during the Hidden Exploration Objective Chessboard of Safhe Shatranj to activate the Chess Pieces located in Safhe Shatranj.
All activation devices can be found floating in the air at the place the chess piece represents. Activation Device: Deshret's Glass Goblet and Activation Device: The Mausoleum of King Deshret are only obtainable after the completion of the first step in Memories of Gurabad. After chasing each Activation Device, they appear at the 
icon on the minimap.
