Wonderful! I hope you and your family had a happy Christmas.
The food hit this year in our household was shirred eggs. Which is basically eggs baked in cream. We don’t do the tradition of putting sherry into the mix, but we do put a little smoked fish and grated parmesan cheese. A very rich dish, but perfect for Christmas morning while unwrapping gifts. It’s taken a couple years to get the technique down right, but now that we’ve worked it out they are delicious.

Oh these are good, I love the strings of flowers and lights.
Do you (as a household) eat all of these or are some of them given to other households?
They are lovely as always. They all look amazing, but the first tree is my favourite.
We managed to make only 2 varieties of cookies, one traditional and one I could veganize. The weeks leading to the christmas break were pure madness at school with about 1/3 of staff being out sick.
But I really enjoyed making the second variety with the kids, loudly and unabashedly singing christmas songs.
@Jazzlet, my mother makes a gingerbread house and a tree for several family members and friends, they do not all stay in the house. And this year she made one set for my former colleague in exchange for local honey (he is a beekeeper).
