The sun is going down. Although I took this photo in november, it is still the same view and winter mood today;-)

The snow is melting , more and more dirty. We are waiting for warm weather and a sense of spring. Until that, I play around with my old photos.

Winter, no it was long since we had cold and snow here around Stockholm.

And the Baltic Sea is still without ice, and there is no ground frost.

For each day of plus degrees, a snowy landscape is all the way further away.

But thanks to the archive in the computer, I can still dream of a winter with snow, where the snow slowly falls from the trees and forms a beautiful snow smoke.

Thanks a lot dear friend, for all kind comment.

My sister is in the hospital and I have to pic her up. CU later today!!

Since there is no real winter at this moment, I chose a wintery scene from earlier this year as my final posting for 2015.

The winter has arrived in Saxony (Germany). On the narrow road towards Grobau you can see the snow dunes, which continue from the wind to the road. Today's sunny weather and the weak wind have made things a bit easier. The snow dunes on the edge of the street are here in the foreground of the picture and are about 40 cm high.

Stitched panorama

A winter storm dropped some heavy, wet snow on our landscape. The huge, collapsed maple tree was a victim of an ice storm late last year. Sad, but I thought it made for a dramatic image.

Winter Sun coming back very soon but it does have it's beauty, shot in North Carolina.

After a snowfall the night before, I went out with my camera yesterday morning to photograph the trees with the snow still sitting on the branches. Fortunate for me there was practically no wind so the snow remained nicely in place to give a frosting effect!

After a day of light snow and an evening of sub zero temperature I went out in the hope of capturing some snowy shots. The snow was not that deep, but there was just enough of a dusting to make for a Winter shot down the lake

Winter is coming, and much as I dread it, I know that I must start accepting it. We have had our first taste of frigid frost and sharp cold. I also know that winter has its own magic.

"I wonder if the snow loves the trees and fields, that it kisses them so gently? And then it covers them up snug, you know, with a white quilt; and perhaps it says, 'Go to sleep, darlings, till summer comes again.'"
