Inside this magnificent church - St. Michel and All Angels - A musical recital was taking place within.
The church stands atop of a hill in the centre of Hawkshead.
William Wordsworth refers to the church being painted white on his return to Hawkshead, but it has long since been returned to its natural stone and slate.
The music inside called to us and i pushed Marc up the short, but steep hill to the door. though Marc will usually be totally at ease within a church, on this occasion he resisted going in. Maybe the darkness through the doorway, or the sound of the instruments being played may have overloaded his senses as they once used to.
Instead we remained outside and sat on the bench you can just see next to the door at the foot of the tower. Here he sat comfortably and enjoyed the music while sitting outside.

Biker's wheels squeal in sync with the walker's stride,
Rhythm bounce around the space, sound hits me on every side.
I hold up the roof like my buddy pillar there, with his long shadow cast,
we bask in the sun while the music of space kept whisking past…

Originally I wanted to take a picture of Fluffy sitting on the bench in front of the piano but of course he wouldn't do it...so I decided to draw it...

…… If you haven’t already guessed this is a CD placed on top of a steel rule showing incremental MM to the right of the line, the entire black circle measures 45mm or 1.77 inches if you prefer. I shone a warm white LED light at the CD to get the refracted colourful effect, a technique I’ve been looking to do for ages - the CD is plain Silver.
