This is the same ICE 3 train as in the previous upload, just about 200 meters down the track and still gaining speed.
At an approved top speed of 330 km/h the ICE 3 are the fastest trains of Deutsche Bahn.

It was a wonderful cold and sunny day, when I walked through a winter wonderland in my city.

American Robins eat fish. Quite a novelty.
Feb. 2019 Archive.
The American Robins that overwintered in Hermitage Park in our city ate berries and other fruits left over on trees and shrubs. They were also seen catching and pulling minnows out of small ice openings on the edge of ponds that stayed partially frozen.
It was interesting how these resourceful Robins had adapted to our climes. They had taught themselves how to 'ice fish' and found an excellent protein food source in the wintertime.
This individual stood over its 'fishing hole', jealously guarding it and would chase away other robins coming close.

The light was poor and I had to shoot at high ISO.

Lake Winnebago is a huge lake, 30 miles long and 10 miles across. It's also a productive fishery and attracts anglers all year long. In this image, a lone individual on foot is pulling a sled for ice fishing gear. The person is a long way out on the frozen lake appearing to be near the horizon a bit left of center.
I took the photograph from the trail on the breakwater wall that protects Millers Bay in Menominee Park, Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

This is from the epic winter of 2015. Seems so long ago now it might as well have been the Ice Age. I was reminded of the amazing shelf ice on Lake Michigan that year by one of my contacts: www.flickr.com/photos/7672416@N05/49392562357/in/dateposted/
Ice Castle is the best ever I see. Unfortunately, It is already melting slowly in March. I will look forward to see new ice castle for next winter.
I spotted this male Cardinal sitting on a snow and ice covered branch waiting to fly over to the feeders. I was really surprised to see it out in those weather conditions.
