Macro food

I just love baking bread. Here a small roll from Thursdays batch.

Canon EOS 6D - f/6.3 - 1/320sec - 100mm - ISO 500

- for challenge Flickr group Macro Mondays, theme B-food.

- One of my favorites as Sunday brunch:

Take a baguette, split it, cut the halves in 3 pieces of ca. 20 cm.

Roast the bread lightly, put some slices of brie and bacon on top.

Grill the result some minutes and finish it by putting some honey over the bacon.

Enjoy your meal !

This doe had been looking for food and I just put out some sunflower seeds, she didn’t want to wait, fortunately I had some corn and apples on hand for her.

I covered these cans with air drying clay. Before I colored the clay with food color (nothing else was at home). After drying, I embellished them with gold foil (metal, not real gold:-)). Finish was a matt clear coat.

I was going through my older photos, when I found this.

Roses and raindrops are lovely and romantic but It's long been said the way to a man's heart is through his stomach.

And I can verify that.........fall in love with my ex girlfriend, in Thailand, after she presented me that dish!

It is fair to say that the few restaurants, snack bars and takeaways in my village offer food that is best described as international. Even the fish and chips shop has kebabs on the menu. What has gone international in the village is taste. Cultural fusion happens first in the kitchen. Mentalities take a lot longer to change (or fuse). Fuji X-E2 plus Helios 44M-7 at approx. F16.

Crane birds (বক, সারস) are searching for food when tractor is ploughing the field. Snails, earthworms etc comes out as a result of ploughing. Now is the monsoon season in India when most cultivation occurs. As a result of use of machinery people are loosing job. This has become a great problem in our country.

I'm trying to find the best fit for these ingredients. I made vegetable fried rice with them but I wasn't happy with it. I then made chicken vegetable soup with these ingredients and that was better. And poor Tom is stuck with my constant questioning of his opinion. But I like this photo, so at least that's something.
