All I know of this photo is that it's taken in Brunflo, Sweden, by the photographer Axel Olsson, in the latter half of the 1910s (his studio seems to have opened in 1916).

But I am quite willing to bet that this is a family shot. The older persons, 7 women and one man, really look like they could be siblings, both by looks and ages, and then there are three younger persons with a bit of an age-gap that is either (half-)siblings or children of the grown-ups. No matter how they are related, they seem to be a group that are quite at ease with each other.

Character-wise my favourite of them all, is the woman in the middle of the back-row - I just love her smile.
