zebra longwing

Behind on my gardening, some of my corky stem passion vine grew up the fence and up into my east side neighbors bottlebrush tree. To be fair their tree does hang over the fence line and touches down on the fence.

The gulf fritillaries and the zebra longwings love it when the vine is in a tree and this particular vine is getting a lot of attention from both (Gulf fritillary pictured).

I very happy that my neighbor loves butterflies and doesn't mind plants, they are going to allow the vine to remain until butterfly season is over, then allow me to cut it back.

Have a splendid day and happy snapping.

Peacock. European Butterfly.

Europe has a lot of beautiful butterfly species, although perhaps the prettiest and most colorful is the Peacock Butterfly.

Papilio palinurus, common name Emerald Swallowtail, Emerald Peacock, or Green-banded Peacock, is a butterfly of the genus Papilio belonging to the Papilionidae family. It is native to southeast Asia,

I don't know what kind of butterfly it is. I hope someone can tell me what it is.
