    "In the Landscapes Only group rules, you state no SL and no AI. I know what AI is, but what is SL?" -AI is artificial intelligence, especially the "generative" kind. SL is Second Life, a kind of computer game which is often posted in Flickr as a screenshot. Some groups were totally overrun with SL, hence the ban.

  • Technical info with submissions?

    I'm new digital photography and new to the group. I've noticed in Flickr that people include the technical info of their images, ie; camera, lens, shutter speed, aperture, etc. Some don't. I'd like to encourage more folks to include that stuff. Knowing how someone captured that sunset or waterfall would really help me in my learning. Thanks for all the great work y'all! S...

  • Variable Neutral Density filter for landscapes?

    I'm thinking about getting a variable neutral density filter but read about issues with wide angle lenses and an X shadow obscuring the frame. An adjustable filter seems better than having 3 or 4 of fixed shading. Opinion?
