Roy (Binding Blade Artwork)

Roy (ロイ) is the main protagonist of Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade. Son of Eliwood, Marquess of Pherae, Roy is thrust into war on his father's behalf when the King of Bern, Zephiel threatens to conquer all of Elibe and unleash dragons to raze and rule the world.

Roy takes up arms as a leading figure for the Lycian Army and to protect Guinivere, Zephiel's younger half-sister who opposes her brother's plans. Along the way he would be deemed worthy to wield the Binding Blade, one of the Legendary Weapons of Elibe and slay the Demon Dragon.

Roy is also a notable figure for the Fire Emblem series as his appearance in Super Smash Bros. Melee heralded the eventual release of the series internationally alongside fellow Fire Emblem protagonist Marth. Read More
