A young man who is a former SOLDIER. In pursuing his nemesis, Sephiroth, and attempting to protect his world, he learns the truth of his own past. He often claims to be "not interested"─a notion that is reinforced by his detached demeanor. It is a mask that breaks only when he is overcome by motion sickness.
Description
Cloud is a playable character in Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia who can be recruited during Chapter 1 of the main storyline.
Profile[]
Appearance[]
Cloud wears an indigo outfit, a metal pauldron, a brown belt with the SOLDIER symbol, brown gloves and black boots. Elements from his Dissidia design are the redesigned SOLDIER logo on his belt, his right glove is fingerless, and his pauldron is dual-layered.
In his "Cloudy Wolf" costume, Cloud takes on his appearance from Advent Children. He wears a high collar sleeveless indigo shirt, black pants and boots, and black cloth covering his left leg and arm. He has a shoulder pauldron, and his chest is covered by two straps, held in place by a badge representing Fenrir, a wolf that has come to be associated with him.

Story[]
Lost Chapter: A Burning Passion[]
After Snow joins the warriors of light, he and the other warriors continue their journey to the last Torsion in the region. Prior to reaching their destination, he stops to ask Cloud, Cecil, Zidane, Hope, and the Warrior of Light what it is that they all fight for. He reaffirms his desire to fight to protect all of the ones that he loves, and Snow expresses his optimism that things will work out as they always do. The Warrior of Light broods on the fact that he cannot recall who it is he wished to protect, but Mog and Cloud encourage him to keep moving forward, hoping that he will recover his memories soon enough.
Lost Chapter: The Power of Valor[]
After Cater joins the ranks of the warriors of light, they search a nearby forest for a torsion and face off against numerous enemies. Yuffie complains about her exhaustion during a lull in the intense combat, but Cloud notes that they are almost at their destination and presses them to continue. As they begin to leave, Yuffie realizes that she dropped one of her materia. She decides not to risk further danger to her tired comrades by dragging them through unnecessary combat, but Cater insists that she and Yuffie sneak together past the enemy waves to peek at where she might have dropped the materia, leaving Cloud and the others to rest up ahead.
Act 2, Ch. 7: Respite's Authenticity[]
The Dark Manikin Crisis[]
After Sephiroth seizes Materia's throne, Cloud and Zack encounter a lifelike manikin of himself striking a lifelike manikin of Jecht in the presence of Tidus (and his manikin), the Warrior of Light, the real Jecht, and Yuna. As the false Zack explains that there are imposters among the warriors, the false Tidus and Jecht react with anger and confusion to Zack's attack. Cloud realizes that the manikins have access to their memories, and strong emotional attachments make it difficult to see through the imposters' disguises.
The false Zack calls on his real self and the others to strike down the lifelike manikins. Zack continues to be flustered and confused, but Cloud tells him that all he needs to know is who he needs to defeat. The false Zack laughs at the thought of Cloud's reliability on that particular matter. Cloud tells those without the stomach to face down the clones to stand back.
After striking down the manikins of Tidus and Jecht, Cloud discusses the new threat with Ignis, Noctis, Zack and Vivi. Cloud infers that the manikins are near-replicas because they have been injected with Jenova's cells and were thus able to reshape others' perceptions of reality accordingly. Tidus if there is any way to tell the manikins apart. Cloud says that it is difficult, reflecting on how infected members of the Cetra infiltrated and infected other Cetra clans without anyone knowing any better.
Ignis summons Cloud, Zack, Prompto and Noctis to his location, having discovered Prompto's and Noctis's clones. Cloud draws his weapon, and when the false Prompto expresses fear and confusion, Cloud cautions the others not to be distracted or fooled, a means to divide them and weaken their wills. He posits that the clones are unstable and will turn into monsters if left alone. Once it becomes clear that conflict is inevitable, the false Prompto and Noctis shed their appearances, revealing themselves as multiple dark manikins of Zack.
Cloud and his comrades defeat the possessed dark manikins. Continuing on their journey, they discover many more of them conversing in a large cave. Cloud admits that his memories are incomplete—known to him not as "knowledge", rather than as embodied experience—but he has seen enough to suspect that Sephiroth is behind the appearances of so many of Zack's dark manikins.
As Cloud and the other warriors continue in their journey, he watches as Galuf and Bartz fall ill before transforming into monsters and attacking Tifa and Zidane. Zack's dark manikin approaches them and comments curiously that the goddess's idea of respite is to bring Aerith and Cloud to stand by Zack's side. The dark manikin warns Zack that while he has his memories, their return will be painful. As other warrior-clones degrade into monsters as well, Zack and his dark manikin finally agree to clash so their memories could be reunited.
Zack defeats his dark manikin and his memories are restored. Cloud finds that Zack remembers things that Cloud doesn't know as well. He encourages Cloud and tells him that he survived and upheld Zack's honor and his dreams in his stead. He thanks Cloud, who turns away and brushes it off. Zack contemplates how being here with Aerith and Tifa is the goddess's idea of respite. He falls silent and tells Cloud not to worry until it is his turn to retrieve his own brilliance. Zack asks Cloud to call the others together for a strategy meeting. During the meeting, Zack discloses that Sephiroth sits in Materia's chambers but that Materia herself might not be dead. With little else to go on, Cloud commands the group to press forward.
Confronting Sephiroth[]
The warriors enter a military installation resembling the fortresses commandeered by Niflheim in the Lucian countryside where they encounter Vayne waiting for them. Ignis and Vayne exchange intelligence, inviting ire from Ashe. Cloud tells her to back down so they can hear what Vayne has learned of Sephiroth's plans. The group concludes that Materia's death has rendered the world of respite unstable and that it continues to exist by virtue of Spiritus's power and by the sheer wills of Materia's warriors. Zack realizes that this is why Sephiroth had schemed to undermine and discourage them by infiltrating their ranks with imposters; weakening their wills would further undermine the stability of their world. Cloud resolves to continue the search for Materia.
When Vayne questions the integrity of Noctis's will, given the memories he lacks, Ignis challenges Vayne to a fight to demonstrate Noctis's resolve. Cloud supports Noctis in the fight an afterward, Vayne decides that Noctis is strong enough because he can depend on his comrades, and envies him for it. He offers his aid if the warriors so choose to call him and disappears back through a torsion.
As the warriors press forward, Zack and Cloud see Sephiroth just before he steps into a torsion in the middle of the military installation. They chase him into Materia's chambers, followed by Ignis, Noctis, and Prompto. After Sephiroth monologues about his apotheosis Zack calls him monstrous; the two trade taunts until Zack, enraged, calls upon Cloud and his other allies to attack Sephiroth.
Sephiroth is defeated but with nobody filling Materia's seat, the world begins to disintegrate. A planesgorger emerges from a torsion directly into Materia's chambers. Mog highlights the danger of fighting in this unstable space and moves the warriors, Sephiroth, and the planesgorger into the ruins of an abandoned city resembling Insomnia, a place where the wills of the warriors intersect most strongly. Sephiroth's declaration of boredom over their fight is interrupted when Spiritus appears alongside the warriors to put a stop to his plans. However, as Sephiroth is the usurper of Materia's seat, Spiritus is no longer able to banish him from the world of respite. Instead, Sephiroth disappears through a torsion even as the other warriors—still subject to the gods' rules—cannot pursue him past Spiritus's seal.
After Sephiroth leaves, Spiritus resummons Materia, still incapacitated from Sephiroth's earlier attack. Spiritus remarks that something is happening the world that weakened Materia's authority in a way that he doesn't yet understand. As he searches for the origin, he instructs Cloud and the other warriors to restore Materia to her throne.
