Jang Chun-soo is a first-year D-ranked studenet in Fight Class 1 at Nam-il High. He was awarded with the "Failure at success" award for failing in the first round of the ranking qualifications alongside Jiu Ji-tae.[2] He scored second to last in academics among the 1st years in Fight Classes at the Grade announcement (30th out of 31).[3] He is friends with Oh In-taek and Cha So-wol. He has also shown familiarity with Lim Hyung-chul[4] and Choi Young-joon.[5]
Appearance[]
Jang Chun-soo is of above average height and has a toned build with long black hair combed back. He has squinty eyes and occassionally smokes.[6]
Personality[]
Jang Chun-soo is a typical delinquent and likes to start trouble.[7] When Jiu Ji-tae joins Fight Class 1-1, Chun-soo puts a lot of pressure on him as well as almost resorting to physical attacks.[8][9] Chun-soo seems to have a sadistic nature as he enjoys watching Ji-tae's struggle with the physical training.[10] In addition Chun-soo openly admits to In-taek that he enjoys watching Ji-tae get beaten up.[6] Chun-soo is quite aggressive and easily frustrated, after his loss in the Maria test he was screaming in anger.[11] Chun-soo also does not mind being excessively loud.[1] Chun-soo does not have a problem with cheating in written exams.[12]
Abilities & Techniques[]
As a streetfighter Jang Chun-soo is quite capable and he got admission to Nam-il High Fight Classes by beating up experienced fighters. Chun-soo has no formal martial arts training and has only recently started learning Mixed Martial Arts, since he enrolled at Nam-il High.[13]
Chun-soo is not very observant as in the fight with Ji-tae vs Kwon Tae-young Chun-soo makes fun of Ji-tae's movement without realising that Ji-tae is dodging everything.[10]

Friends & Allies[]
Jang Chun-soo is friends with Oh In-taek and Cha So-wol (the leader of the group) and they spend time together outside of school, doing various activities such as karaoke[5] and netcafe.[14] Chun-soo and In-taek smoke together.[4]
Enemies[]
Jang Chun-soo and Shim Ha-min have a hostile relationship ever since the Maria test where Ha-min told Chun-soo to shut up after his bout with Maria.[11] They butt heads again when Chun-soo suggested that Jiu Ji-tae had slept with Maria, a statement Ha-min would not ignore.[15]
Chun-soo has also antagonized Kwon Tae-young with insulting remarks regarding Shim Ha-min.[1]
Jang Chun-soo has openly stated that he hates Ji-tae.[6]
