Former Dublin men’s footballers Paul Casey and Derek Murray are poised to be appointed as joint managers of the Dublin women’s senior footballers.
Casey won an All-Ireland senior football title with the Dubs under Pat Gilroy back in 2011 and has served as a defensive coach and selector with the women’s team for the past seven years.
Murray, meanwhile, played for Dublin under Paul Caffrey and has been a part of the management team with Dublin’s senior women since 2022.
Dublin LGFA’s executive committee will this evening put forward a proposal to club delegates to formally ratify the pair as the successors to Mick Bohan in the dugout.
Bohan stepped down from his role at the helm in November, having enjoyed a hugely successful reign as manager.

His prolific spell in charge saw him lead Dublin to five All-Ireland wins during eight years in charge, with two league titles and six Leinster crowns to boot.
Casey and Murray will step up from the backroom to share the title role and their first game in charge will be the visit of Mayo to Parnell Park in the league on January 26.
