The aerial troupe is Reed’s own high-flying, student-led organization for all things related to aerial acrobatics. We host regular practices throughout the semester, teaching skills on the silks (tissue) and hoop (lyra). The hammock (sling), trapeze, and cloud-swing also show up every once in a while. These classes are open to everyone in the Reed community, whether you have never touched a silk before or can climb like nobody’s business. Keep your eyes open for a big metal rig on the quad and come get high with us!
Travel Study is a project of alumni engagement that provides Reed alumni with the opportunity to learn while traveling to various locales. Trips are often led by a Reed professor or staff member who has expert knowledge of the place being visited and/or the topic being discussed. For any questions about these trips or to sign up, email [email protected].
American Indians at Reed aims to create a community of tribal students, professors, and staff members to support and engage American Indians within the Reed community. The student union strives to be an inclusive environment for students, professors, and staff from all of the tribes represented at Reed. Though our backgrounds are unique and our tribes are distinct, we hold tribal sovereignty and decolonization as our core principles.
