Johann Nepomuk Hummel (Pressburg, 1778ko azaroaren 14a - Weimar, 1837ko urriaren 17a) austriar musikagile eta piano-jotzailea izan zen.
Haur prodijioa izan zen, eta zortzi urte zituela, Mozart musikaren irakaspenak jaso zituen. Ez zion kobratu, eta ostatua eskaini zion. Bederatzi urte zituela, Mozarteko kontzertu batean izan zen. Aitak bira batera eraman zuen Europan barrena, eta lau urtez egon ziren Londresen. 1791n, Joseph Haydn-ek sonata bat egin zuen Hummelentzat Londresen. Vienara itzultzean, Haydn eta Antonio Salieriren lezioak ere jaso zituen. 1804an Nikolas II.a Esterhazi printzea Konzertmeister izendatu zuten Eisenstadten. 1811ra arte printzearen zerbitzura egon zen.
1816tik 181818ra Kapelmeister izan zen Weimarren eta 1819tik 1837ra Frankfurten. Han egin zen Goetheren lagun.
