    He tried to resolve the conflict.
    No quisieron volver a litigar los hechos del caso.
    They refused to relitigate the facts of the case.
  • The imperfect subjunctive is also used for polite requests:
    Quisiera un vaso de agua.
    I would like a cup of water.
