ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:15, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, how are you? I'm new to this platform. Can I start from easy? --Sadiqsaleem32 (talk) 16:50, 20 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Sadiqsaleem32, thanks for the message. One easy way to start contributing to Wikipedia is by copyediting. Take a look at some articles in Category:All articles needing copy edit and see if you find any that could use improvements. Let me know if you have any other questions! —Mx. Question from Acuity123 (13:45, 27 November 2024)

[edit]

how can I create my company page and is it mandatory to do some edit in order to create the page? --Acuity123 (talk) 13:45, 27 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Acuity123, thanks for the message. To start, please take a look at Wikipedia's guideline on conflicts of interest. If creating the article as part of your job, you should also look at the policy on paid editing. You can start the process of creating the article through the Wikipedia:Articles for creation process, but because it's very hard to write neutrally when you have a conflict of interest, you should wait for someone else to move the draft article to the main namespace. Some more guidance is at Help:Your first article. Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions! —Mx. Granger (talk · contribs) 16:57, 28 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
