Minor correction

1. We all Konkani editors will have to derive standard abbreviations for dialects of different communities. e.g. Bardeshkari- BDS, Saxttikari- SXT, Daivajna-DJN, Bhanap- BNP, Mangalorean Catholic-MCA, North Canara GSB -NGB, South Canara GSB- SGB, Cochin GSB- CGB.

So an example could be given as: 1. I do not know = माका गोत्तु ना. (MCA, BNP,SGB); माका खबर ना. (NGB, DJN); हांव नकळॊ (BDS, SXT) 2. We come = आमी यॆतांव (MCA); आमी यॆताति (BNP,NGB,SGB); आमी यॆतात. (DJN, BDS, SXT) 3. I see here = हांव हांगा पळयता (BNP, MCA, SGB); हांव हांगा च़ॊयता. (CGB)...etc

As user The Discoverer has mentioned, this has hereto not been attempted. Please feel free to make amendments to the article. Should I get the article out of my sandbox so that everyone could edit and add to it??

Will work on the source. BTW does the Mangalorean Catholic community have two dialects. I've heard some say कितॆं करता and some say कालॆं करता. The latter sounds more like the dialect of the Chitrapur Saraswats who say कलॆं करता.Imperium ^Caelestis 05:50, 18 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No, the Mangalorean Catholics do not have different dialects. However, our accents differ depending the place we hail from. To my knowledge, कितॆं करता is used in writing and formal speech; while कालॆं करता is used informally (not in writing though).
