Romanian militaria

Hello! I'm truing to write in russian Wikipedia about Romanian Infanteria de Marina. Can you help with information? I dont understand romanian. Also, I'm writing about state decorations, but i didn't find any official information about it. Need your help. Alex.--Kwasura (talk) 14:18, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Partidul National Liberal.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. nat.utoronto 23:56, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:Adevarul logo.gif. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Antena 5.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Antena 5.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:08, 11 May 2008 (UTC)

Romanian Royal standard

According to the description found in Enciclopedia of Romania (1938), Ist volume, page 84: Sub Ferdinand I, pavilionul regelui şi al principelui moştenitor au fost complet modificate. I never saw a real model and I'd be very grateful if you could scan or take a picture of the image found in the 1923 dictionary. Are there any other Romanian flags depicted? These are the only ones I know about. --Alex:Dan (talk) 23:03, 12 June 2008 (UTC)

--Alex:Dan (talk) 10:24, 17 June 2008 (UTC)

Coats of Arms

Hi there. Welcome. Do you intend to write articles to accompany the coats of arms pages which you have created? Because they run a significant risk of deletion if you do not. --Anthony.bradbury"talk" 15:55, 29 June 2008 (UTC)

OK. No problem. --Anthony.bradbury"talk" 16:00, 29 June 2008 (UTC)

Hello ES Vic, this article Coat of arms of Slobozia is just graphics and no text. I will mark it for speedy deletion if you do not work in it soon. Thank you, --Albeiror24-Neopanida (talk) 16:33, 29 June 2008 (UTC)

Please do not remove templates until the article is ready. If used on a non-article page which is not yet ready for use, type {{Underconstruction|notready=true}}. Here you find more info about how to use that template. --Albeiror24-Neopanida (talk) 00:55, 30 June 2008 (UTC)

--Alex:Dan (talk) 20:22, 29 June 2008 (UTC)

I have reverted your changes. Feel free to re-implement your changes once you fix the bugs. But, you must also make sure when you edit templates that you fix any label changes on all the articles that use the template. Aboutmovies (talk) 17:11, 27 October 2008 (UTC)

That fixed most of the problems, but in the future please use the "what links here" feature to ensure all the articles using a template look right (I have to remove the [[]] from those you have not worked on). We encourage WP:BOLD, but that guideline has a caveat about templates, and that is be careful because they affect multiple articles. Aboutmovies (talk) 05:17, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
Additionally, though it looks better in pure appearance, take a look at its useage at Rigsdag. There was a reason why basically everything was optional, that way things don't look odd like they do at Rigsdag or at Volkskammer and basically all but say Great National Assembly which I assume is the entire point you have edited the template. Please take the time to make all the fields optional and to where if a section is empty then the section heading also does not appear (see {{Infobox Golf Facility}} for this in action) and do you really think "Meeting Place" should be under elections? Harti politice

User_talk:Andrei nacu

Harti politice

As vrea sa-ti cer parerea in legatura cu modalitatea in care ar trebui sa colorez hartile. Ce ar trebui sa iau in considerare? Si cum as putea sa reprezint mandatele suplimentare? Sa fac o harta separata unde sa colorez numai mandatele obtinute astfel?

User_talk:Andrei nacu

Stai putin.

User_talk:Andrei nacu

OK. Mersi mult. Acum mi-e clar. Am sa astept ca BEC-ul sa termine centralizarea datelor. Pana una alta am sa completez doar mandatele obtinute prin vot direct. Ai putea sa faci niste diagrame cu procentele partidelor si distributia mandatelor in Parlament? (Desigur dupa centralizarea tuturor datelor). Numai bine, Andrei nacu (User_talk:Andrei nacu)

Results

Could you be so kind as to put the full results into the template (all parties, not just adding them together as "others")? I'd do it myself, but I'm pretty sure that unlike me you actually know Romanian and would have an easier time identifying the parties and their English names... Thanks! —Nightstallion 17:20, 2 December 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for adding the other parties; I've removed the bold again, as it really hurts the looks of the template and since it's clear from the fact that they've got seats that they're the only ones to have got into parliament. Another question, however -- the official preliminary results at http://www.becparlamentare2008.ro/rezul/part_tara_100.pdf have got another dozen parties or so which only stood for one of the chambers, could you please add those, too? Doesn't make much sense to only include some of the parties, we've always included all parties in the results in other elections. Thanks! —Nightstallion 21:33, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
Oh, wait, sorry -- those are all minority parties, right? My mistake. Thanks again! —Nightstallion 21:38, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
No, no, you're absolutely right. If there's been any change from 2004, we should mention that at Romanian ethnic minorities parties (and in the article -- if there hasn't been a change, we probably should mention that, too), but apart from that, subsuming them under "national minority parties" is fine. —Nightstallion 21:44, 2 December 2008 (UTC)

Do you know how many seats the Conservative Party and the Christian Democratic Peasant Party won? --Checco (talk) 13:43, 4 December 2008 (UTC)

Oh, many thanks. So only 4 members of the PC were elected to the Chamber of Deputies... and what about the 15 Christian Democratic candidates in the lists of the PNL? Can you put these figures in the template about the election? --Checco (talk) 14:05, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
But do you know how many Christian Democrats were elected?
What will be the most likely government? --Checco (talk) 14:15, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
Ps: I re-counted: the PC members elected to the Chamber of Deputies are 3 and not 4 as you wrote in the templates...
Ehm, sorry... I wanted to say that you wrote 3 instead of 4, but they're 4! Thanks for your answers

50th Romanian legislature

- Biruitorul Talk 05:02, 19 December 2008 (UTC)

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the GFDL or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to [email protected], stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the image to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the image has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to [email protected].

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the image's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Images lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —Bkell (talk) 09:54, 1 June 2009 (UTC)

Romanian honorific

Please see Template:Romanian National Decorations System for my suggested new titles. If you must keep "honorific sign" in the title, note that it should be a lower case s. — RHaworth (Talk | contribs) 20:22, 22 August 2009 (UTC)

Name suggestion

Can you please provide a name suggestion for this upload File:100_7341.jpg so we can move it to a more distinct name ? —TheDJ (talkcontribs) 20:52, 1 October 2009 (UTC)

Romanian presidential elections, 2009

About this, look, please, find a way to add a footnote and let it be in the form "independent, supported by PDL and PNTCD", or vice-versa, i.e. "supported by PDL and PNTCD, formally independent" (at your choice), and everything would be fine. Dc76\talk 12:44, 29 November 2009 (UTC)

Actually, I found a way. Thank you for stimulating my brain! :) (Sincerely, no sarcasm.) I couldn't find a way to add footnotes. I am afraid the creators of Template:Infobox Election have not thought about that, and I am reluctant to edit it. But I found a way to modify the text. Unfortunately I couldn't make it to link to PD-L because that one is already taken, so now it links to Traian Basescu. There is also an option to create a title that redirects to PD-L, but if we do that, when clicking one would be sent to the redirect page, not the the redirected page (it would be exactly the "double redirect" situation that one should avoid). If there would exist a page similar to Barack Obama presidential campaign, 2008, it would perfectly solve everything. Which one do you prefer: 1) click and be sent to Traian Basescu, 2) click and be sent to a redirect page, 3) click and be sent to Traian Băsescu presidential campaign, 2009 (only that the latter requires someone to create this article and I have better things to do, but be my guest if you prefer this option) ? Dc76\talk 13:29, 29 November 2009 (UTC)
Hi. Thank you very much for your message on my talk page. I am sorry I am quite busy in real life (and when I am not busy I am too tired to get online). Therefore I am answering with delay and do not reply with much detail. I disagree with one thing in what you said me: "his independence is (...) not a personal option of the candidate nor is it extremely obvious in the political actions", b/c that would be personal opinions, which are not necessary not helpful in WP. But I agree with the rest of your conclusions and proposals. I would support you if you wish to create a separate campaign article. I only want to mention 2 details if you decide to create it: 1) don't rely too much one me to help improve it, b/c I really don't have now the time, 2) If you cannot write more than 1 page, it might not be wise to create it. I mean, to create it simply to stay as a stub would not be very useful. On the other side, if you wish to develop it, that would definitively be totally welcomed by everyone around. Please, let me know if I can be of any help/assistance to you as a fellow WP editor. I am sure, (minor) differences in personal political opinions would have no bearing on our WP editorial collaboration. I will look more into those pages, as my time would allow me. Unreferenced BLPs

Hello ES Vic! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 3 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Puiu Haşotti - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Need help (Romanian Navy)

Hello! How to translate "Divizionul 88 vedete fluviale"? Many thnks! --Kwasura (talk) 04:39, 8 February 2010 (UTC)

What are the ranks for the enlisted personal in the Romanian Navy. I have information only about the ranks of the Ground forces. --Kwasura (talk) 19:58, 9 February 2010 (UTC)

Interesting situation. No enlisted personal in the Romanian Navy? Only Maiştri militari? Is Romanian Armed Forces 100% professional? --Kwasura (talk) 00:50, 10 February 2010 (UTC)

I like this! Don't you want to add paratroopers? :) --Kwasura (talk) 00:54, 10 February 2010 (UTC)

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Istorie logo TVR.jpg

Thank you for uploading File:Istorie logo TVR.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. —TheDJ (talkcontribs) 13:06, 11 February 2010 (UTC)

Sorry, I can't tell what this file is meant to be. Also, it's not used in any articles, but is free so could be moved to Commons. Would you care to move it to a more meaningful title? Cheers. Rodhullandemu 22:01, 15 July 2010 (UTC)

National libraries of Europe

Hi,Just to mention that the template you added to a lot of articles in Jan 2009 can take an extra parameter for the title to display, so that instead of showing "National Library of Europe" you can make it show "National libraries of Europe" and link to the National library article. See National Library of Armenia, which I found while stub-sorting. I've fixed the A's and the UK, and might work through the rest some time. PamD (talk) 09:15, 13 August 2010 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for File:Coroana Reginei Elisabeta.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Coroana Reginei Elisabeta.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 14:40, 8 September 2010 (UTC)

File source problem with File:LUP6949 p1 resize.JPG

Thank you for uploading File:LUP6949 p1 resize.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 13:36, 9 September 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 13:36, 9 September 2010 (UTC)
