About me
As of 2022 I haven't been very active on Wikipedia for a few years now. It no longer feels like the exciting place for an editor/administrator that it once was. However, my enthusiasm for the project has waxed and waned several times before, so I may yet return. I still keep an eye on my watchlist and make the occasional edit. I also try to respond quickly to any comments on my talk page.
Some of my article contributions are listed here. My commitment to Wikipedia as an administrator is here.
About Wikipedia
The English Wikipedia has 122,379 active editors, out of 48,399,503 accounts that have been registered. Countless people have edited without using an account. There are 846 administrators, of whom fewer than 500 are active as of early 2022. Together the community has made 1,257,866,501 edits to 62,013,881 pages, of which just 6,923,079 are articles – so a lot goes on behind the scenes.
Following an RFC, the policy on restoration of adminship has been updated. All former administrators may now only regain the tools following a request at the Wikipedia:Bureaucrats' noticeboard within 5 years of their most recent admin action. Previously this applied only to administrators deysopped for inactivity.
Following a request for comment, a new speedy deletion criterion, T5, has been enacted. This applies to template subpages that are no longer used.
