Name
[edit]The name of the Republic of Suriname is now spelled that way (with final "e"), so I have changed references to the country of "Surinam" (the former spelling) to "Suriname." This is consistent with Suriname and related articles. However, according to the linked website, the name of the airline itself remains "Surinam Airways." Is this correct? Is there any reason for the variation other than pure inertia, i.e. the airline kept the older spelling? Newyorkbrad 01:44, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:SurinamAirwyasBackground.gif
[edit]Image:SurinamAirwyasBackground.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Verifiability conflict in fleet table
[edit]In the last week, I've reverted changes made to the fleet table that are not in agreement with the only supporting reference. I did it three times. All these edits were made by editors with IP 190.198.XXX.XXX. Their edits go against the verifiability policy. Can you, the editors involved, please source your additions/changes? I will ask for page protection if this behaviour persists. Thanks.--Jetstreamer Talk 13:36, 2 March 2013 (UTC)
- The issue is not solved ([1], [2]) and now borders warring. I've asked for protection of the article again.--Jetstreamer Talk 23:14, 26 May 2013 (UTC)
- This edit will be reverted in a matter of a week, unless otherwise stated. The article has been fully-protected ten days ago, unprotection expires tomorrow, and I see no intention of the editor that made it to discuss the matter here.--Jetstreamer Talk 22:58, 10 June 2013 (UTC)
- The edit is no longer valid, as there's an updated version of the supporting reference.--Jetstreamer Talk 00:21, 15 June 2013 (UTC)

Recent edits
[edit]I'd like to discuss here the recent edits made to the page by Nardisoero (talk · contribs).
The first of them is the one related to this edit. There's a clear copyright violation here, as the text introduced is an exact copy of the one provided in the source (see page 13).{{copypaste | url= http://www.slm.firm.sr/uploads/magazines/f1cba6a0a77e39023525ad862ddf1e105e8890db.pdf}}
- Copyright problem removed.--Jetstreamer Talk 10:54, 21 May 2013 (UTC)
- The second point that bothers me is the reliability of this source. Where does it come from? At the very top of it there's an e-mail which clearly suggests that this is a private compilation. I'm pretty sure this source does not meet the reliability requirements.
Not all the three new entries at section "Incidents and accidents" are notable, as per WP:AIRCRASH. In particular, the first two ones on the list are supported by the likely unreliable source mentioned above. Actually, the first recorded incident for the airline, according to the Aviation Safety Network, took place in 1978. I'll be removing the first two entries in a week or so unless more solid proof is provided.
- Removed, as per WP:SILENCE.--Jetstreamer Talk 11:51, 27 May 2013 (UTC)
Please respond to these three issues and I will comment further.--Jetstreamer Talk 12:40, 20 May 2013 (UTC)
More copyvio issues
[edit]@Moonriddengirl and Nardisoero: We're having WP:COPYVIO issues again. More specifically, this [3] edit is virtually a copypaste from this url.--Jetstreamer Talk 14:11, 21 February 2015 (UTC)
