New Expansion for September 2019
[edit]The expansion name is Onslaught Source: https://www.swtor.com/info/news/article/20190413 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:806:8300:25C0:41ED:AABC:A8C1:E813 (talk) 14:59, 14 April 2019 (UTC)
Merger proposal
[edit]- The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section. A summary of the conclusions reached follows.
- There is a clear consensus not to merge HeroEngine into Star Wars: The Old Republic. 78.28.54.247 (talk) 19:25, 26 May 2019 (UTC)
I propose to merge HeroEngine into this article. The article about the engine is written like an ad and has little useful technical information, from a wiki standpoint. Also, SWTOR is the only notable game to use HeroEngine. Ironalien (talk) 03:58, 2 May 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose. SWTOR uses the HeroEngine but the developments of both are not entwined. Especially when the HeroEngine has no useful information, a merge would make no sense, as the unuseful information would land here. HeroEngine should be taken to AfD instead. Lordtobi (✉) 06:12, 2 May 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose target Not a comment on whether HeroEngine should be redirected or deleted, but this is not where it should be merged to as general content. -- ferret (talk) 16:23, 2 May 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose. HeroEngine is a SaaS in R&D and under new management as of 2015. I understand that I am not allowed to edit the Wiki page itself being that I am a an employee and developer of HeroEngine. However, some of my clients let me know this was up for discussion of merger or possible deletion. Oppose Merge: Star Wars: The Old Republic is separate from HeroEngine as a company and a product, we were/are their engine provider nothing more. Oppose AfD: HeroEngine should not be marked for deletion because it is still being developed and maintained with many clients learning, working and using the product. HeroEngine should not be taken to Articles for deletion as it is still active and in use. Outdated information: I agree the information provided on the HeroEngine page is not adequate, reads more like a short ad and has unreliable/incorrect/outdated information. Sarrene (talk)
- Oppose. Currently going through and updating any junk, outdated or incorrect info. Merging with SWTOR makes no sense as they are separate entities. Deleting makes no sense as it just needs updating.

Removal of Other media
[edit]I removed the information about the novels and comics because it isn’t directly part of the game. Its only affiliated with the game which is why I moved it to the article talking about the broader multimedia project (Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic). Seriously No need for revering and threatening with blocking me User:1AmNobody24. UnkreativeFrog (talk) 08:08, 8 March 2023 (UTC)
- @UnkreativeFrog And why didn't you leave an edit summary explaining that? 1AmNobody24 (talk) 08:10, 8 March 2023 (UTC)
- @UnkreativeFrog Also for you DRN Request remember to:
- Ensure that you deliver a notice to each person you add to the case filing by leaving a notice on their user talk page. DRN has a notice template you can post to their user talk page by using the code shown here: {{subst:drn-notice}}. Be sure to sign and date each notice with four tildes (~~~~). Giving notice on the article talk page in dispute or relying on linking their names here will not suffice.

- @UnkreativeFrog Also for you DRN Request remember to:
Forgot it. okay? Never forgot sth? UnkreativeFrog (talk) 08:30, 8 March 2023 (UTC)
- @UnkreativeFrog It is not a big deal if you forget an edit summary, but to other editors it looks like an unexplained content removal, which sometimes is disruptive. This time it was just a move of content per WP:ANOTHER. Also please try to remain civil.
- I just asked for an explanation, no need to be cranky . 1AmNobody24 (talk) 08:59, 8 March 2023 (UTC)
- Sorry. I was just annoyed that you threatened me with banning (especially as my move could have been assumed by looking at the two pages and their history). But thanks for a constructive resolution. UnkreativeFrog (talk) 07:43, 11 March 2023 (UTC)
