Fair use rationale for Image:Bbcsw.jpg

[edit]

Image:Bbcsw.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Not up to date

[edit]

There is a reference in the introduction to series 12, implying (I think) that it it is the latest series. There as definitely been a series 13 and perhaps a 14. I am no expert so it's not appropriate for me to write it up...can someone either update this or move the ref to series 12.

There was a recent spot of the Overview section also appearing on TV.com, but investigation revealed that actually the article had been borrowed from here to there. See Wikipedia:Copyright problems/2011 January 11 for details. Splash - tk 14:18, 13 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

"Updating" on the demise of Harry

[edit]

For people "updating" on the death of the character of Harry Cunningham, it really needs a reliable source. In this interview Tom Ward says "And there's a moment when it looks like Harry's dead!" So. In the absence of reliable sources that say Ward has left the show, probably more sensible to leave it as it is. --BelovedFreak 23:14, 24 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Harry features in official BBC episode guide for next week. [1] Maybe not dead? --BelovedFreak 23:19, 24 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I didn't meant to cause trouble or anything! I looked at the BBC site and saw the 'With Harry dead' statement and made an assumption. Seeing as it lists him in the cast for the finale, I'll revert my changes. Iamthedoctor2009 (talk) 23:23, 24 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. I don't really care that much. Just saw someone crying on Twitter because "Wikipedia says Harry's dead so it must be true!" :) --BelovedFreak 23:26, 24 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Oh right, what have I done?! Haha! Iamthedoctor2009 (talk) 23:36, 24 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Jack

[edit]

In the main character section, Thomas is “described as charming, charismatic and socially shrewd”. No source, please note, but no-one could argue against that. In comparison, there is no description of Jack’s character. IMO that’s because he’s character-less, totally devoid of any charisma whatsoever. (In fact how he ever made it into the programme is beyond me, but that’s by the by; watching his almost leading role in the story set in Mexico was painful.) So I edited in that he has no charisma, but this was reverted. Comments, anyone? Does anyone disagree with my contention that he has no charisma? Boscaswell talk 22:08, 10 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

There having been no contrary comments, no disagreements, I’ll make the change. Boscaswell talk 20:53, 25 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Theme Song

[edit]

Would Silencium and its lyrics (with translation from Latin) warrant its own page?
Discussed here and here.--Lmstearn (talk) 09:03, 23 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

This page section #Episodes is a table of episodes. Very nice. Borrowed from page "List_of_Silent_Witness_episodes". Links within the table, within page "List_of_Silent_Witness_episodes" work. But those same links within the table in this page Fail. (While the link anchor is correct, it points to the wrong page. I do not currently understand how to fix that. Viewing figures

[edit]

AI says the name Silent Witness is because BBC won't allow naked bodies during autopsy. Is this true? Zachygirl (talk) 02:20, 12 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
