Creation

[edit]

Joe Chill, I created this KLOG article because it is a well-known radio station in SW Washington. Also, there are numerous references (links) to it throughout Wikipedia. One of these is on the "List of Radio Stations in Washington" article. Nearly every other stations in Washington/Oregon have a page, some even less prominent then KLOG. Please let me know what specific information you would need to keep this page active. Thanks. Ks03 (talk) 18:26, 10 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Station History

[edit]

As a former employee of said station, it has been my understanding that the station began broadcasting on or about October 9, 1949. Also, the ownership history is redundant. It has been owned by Washington Interstate Broadcasting since 2002, and the later-dated reference is actually referring to a license renewal, not a sale of the license. Prior to 2002, the owner/president/general manager was Steven Hanson. The current owner/general manager is Steven's son, Joel Hanson.

The current transmitter site is located in the Coweeman River in South Kelso, but the previous transmitter site was on the Kelso Elks Golf Course, which is now the site of the Three Rivers Mall. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.232.158.29 (talk) 09:32, 4 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
