Trackball claims
[edit]I know there are a number of references claiming that the first trackball was built for DATAR. This claim is made in both main sources on F-P history. However, it is very clear that this statement is incorrect, and further references from the UK have demonstrated. In fact, given that the UK project was essentially an analog version of DATAR, it seems highly likely that the DATAR people got the idea from CDS. I don't think we'll ever be able to cite that though.Maury Markowitz (talk) 13:30, 6 November 2014 (UTC)
