Hardly coverage
[edit]There seems to be hardly any recent media coverage of this outside the country. But I suppose we will get some post-election coverage. I did some research on it, but the gaps are too big to write anything. Compared to the interest in the referendum its remarkably how much this has been ignored.--Batmacumba (talk) 14:06, 17 December 2016 (UTC)
Voting system
[edit]How does FPTP in multi-member constituencies work? If there are six seats, does the winning party gets all six?--Batmacumba (talk) 03:08, 19 December 2016 (UTC)
- Based on the candidate list (see e.g. p48, a six-seat constituency), it appears to be bloc voting – i.e. voters only get one vote for a list of X candidates, who then get all the seats. I hadn't realise that any countries retained this system (it was very common in French colonies during the Territorial Assembly era). Number 57 14:41, 19 December 2016 (UTC)
- I suspected as much based on the necessity of keeping RHDP together (obviously a marriage of convenience). It should be specified in the text.--Batmacumba (talk) 19:20, 19 December 2016 (UTC)
- I agree. Added. Number 57 20:04, 19 December 2016 (UTC)

Numbers
[edit]The +163 for the governing coalition doesn't make sense. We should go by participating parties.--Batmacumba (talk) 21:29, 20 December 2016 (UTC)
- Yes, I've corrected it. My bad. Number 57 21:59, 20 December 2016 (UTC)
