Germie Bernard (born December 2, 2003)[1] is an American college football wide receiver for the Alabama Crimson Tide. He previously played for the Michigan State Spartans and the Washington Huskies.
Early life
[edit]Bernard attended high school at Liberty in Henderson, Nevada. Bernard had a breakout sophomore season, tallying 948 yards and 14 touchdowns.[2] Coming out of high school, Bernard initially committed to play college football for the Washington Huskies.[3][4] However, he decided to de-commit from the Huskies and sign with the Michigan State Spartans.[5][6][7]
College career

[edit]In week six of the 2022 season, Bernard hauled in three receptions for 28 yards against Ohio State.[8] Bernard finished his first collegiate season making seven catches for 128 yards and two touchdowns.[9] After the conclusion of the 2022 season, Bernard entered the NCAA transfer portal.[10][11]
Washington
[edit]Bernard decided to transfer to play with the Washington Huskies.[12][13] In week two of the 2023 season, Bernard recorded his first touchdown as a Husky, as he helped Washington to a win beating Tulsa.[14] In week five, Bernard led the Huskies in receiving bringing in eight receptions for 98 yards, while also adding a touchdown on the ground, as he helped Washington beat Arizona.[15] On January 15, 2024, Bernard announced that he would be entering the transfer portal.[16]
Alabama
[edit]On January 21, 2024, Bernard announced that he would be transferring to Alabama.[17]
