Writing systems

[edit source]

Hello, I am thinking that I or someone else should add more writing systems to the "Alphabet" page (Syriac is listed only in the External Links section of the Alphabet page), and potentially move much of the historical background currently there to the "Writing Systems" page and keep the "Alphabet" page solely for writing systems used currently. I can also try to add the letter names in English since they are currently only in Hebrew in text-form.

I wanna get other's input before I make any changes though. Thoughts? WithTheScienceTeam (discusscontribs) 20:28, 12 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

Salutations, think the "Writing Systems " page should focus on the general history of the writing systems, While "Alphabets" should focus more in depth about how The letters / symbols are pronounced and more details about them. But I have no authority since I am only now learning aramaic. Ali Belgrave (discusscontribs) 14:39, 18 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
