About
The Office of Civil Rights Compliance maintains campus wide compliance and resources of Federal and State of Iowa laws related to bias, harassment, discrimination, disability, equal employment opportunity, free speech, and sexual misconduct concerns.
In April 2024, the University of Iowa restructured its Office of Institutional Equity (OIE) into the Office of Civil Rights Compliance (OCRC) to align with Iowa Board of Regents directives on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. The OCRC combines Title IX, gender equity, discrimination investigations, and ADA compliance functions.
Additionally, the OCRC provides resources to students, faculty, and staff, fostering a campus environment that values individual ideas and contributions.
