Please, hear me out before you get all riled up. My reasons to hate this ship are nothing to do with it being gay. I am not homophobic in any way, let me explain.

To get the elephant out of the room, and to make a long story short, it's overrated.
Some of the fans are kind of toxic and immature, they just assume you're homophobic if you hate it and/or Amity, some of the toxic fans made fun of one of my YouTube friend's dead grandfather, and that's the reason she started hating Owl House, since the ship and Amity's fans have got worked up since she doesn't like Amity, now she hates Luz (she started hating her after she left the fandom because of the toxic fans, it is nothing to do with biphobia). I don't like Amity either, not because of lesbophobia, but I might write a separate post on why I hate Amity. Back to Lumity...
The ship makes no sense and feels kind of rushed. Amity hated Luz, but as soon as she changed her ways, the former just immediately blushed after the latter. They could have had whole-hearted conversations before Amity started falling for Luz. Huntlow and Raeda honestly make more sense.
Similar to reason one, people complain and judge you if you ship something different. Imagine you're in a Ludric shipper's shoes, and someone judges you and assumes you're homophobic, when you might not be. People have called me homophobic many times just for expressing my opinion, and someone (who I'm now on good terms with) harassed me for shipping her with an OC, Nathan (formerly Dante, my friend made him before giving me permission to use them since they're done with Owl House).
Someone had demonised my friend (not mentioning the demoniser's name since I don't want you harassing them on YouTube). I even tried to be nice to a Lumity fan, but they just rudely said "Why the f word are you commenting if you're just spreading homophobia".
Amity literally bullied Luz. I know it's called “Enemies to Lovers”, but sometimes, I'm not a fan of that trope, but sometimes I am. In this case, I don't like the trope. I know, Amity was forced to be that way, but I wouldn't really justify bullying someone, no matter what you're going through, it doesn't excuse that type of behaviour.
People have commented on the aforementioned person's videos about Luthan (at the time the OC's name was Dante, the ship name was Luante) on her old channel (she moved on from that channel to another one because of everyone constantly bullying her and making her feel stressed) stuff like "This ship sucks Luz x Amity is better" when they could've simply just not clicked the video.
It isn't really fair how people act like you have to like this ship to be a fan of the show, just because a canon ship is popular doesn't mean you have to like it to be a fan. I do agree (if it's a fact) that it (probably) teaches children that are mature enough to watch the show that it is alright to be LGBTQ+, I still do not like it. It isn't really fair how that friend has been harassed for hating Lumity, but me and two other YouTube friends of mine don't get harassed for it. One hates it due to LGBTQ+ being forbidden in Russia (her country) though, so could you excuse that friend? Not saying her name in case you get angry at her for it. I have met some non-toxic Lumity fans, and I hope you are one of them. Please only reply if you are going to be respectful and civil, not if you're going to just tell me to like Lumity. We get it. You love the ship, but you don't have to get worked up whenever someone hates it, since not everyone is going to like it, and everyone is entitled to their own opinion, as long as it is not supporting Hitler or Osama Bin Laden or anything that promotes extremism.
