Mickey Rooney, Jr. was an American actor and musician, who was one of the Mouseketeers of Mickey Mouse Club. He was also the eldest son of acting legend Mickey Rooney. He operated the Rooney Entertainment Group, a movie and TV production company.
Early life[]
He was born Joseph Yule III in Birmingham, Alabama to actor Mickey Rooney and former Miss Alabama and singer Betty Jane Rase.
Acting career[]
After appearing as a "Mouseketeer" in The Mickey Mouse Club in 1955-1960, along with his brother, Tim, he played his first movie role in 1967 in Hot Rods to Hell. He later appeared in the television film Beyond the Bermuda Triangle in 1975 and in the movie Honeysuckle Rose in 1980.
Personal life[]
He once was married to Playboy Playmate of the Month, Merci Montello. Rooney met Laura Hollander in 1986 and they married on December 30, 1986; they were married, until her death in 2006. He later met his third wife, Christi Brown, and married her; they were married until his death on July 16, 2022, 13 days after his 77th birthday.
