Joseph Mark Garrett is an English actor and commentator, who has been featured in several programmes with BBC and Disney. He is best known for the role of Stampy, but has been related to some area of Disney XD.
Early life[]
On December 13, 1990, Joseph was born in Hampshire, England to a graphic designer and a mother who stayed at home. He has 2 sisters, one who became a graphic designer, the other one, named Netty, became a Minecraft YouTuber. As a child, he had a medical illness, however, he was confident and got through it.
Career[]
His career started when he was only 15 years old when he started up his first YouTube channel in September 2006 when he began doing different videos doing silly things with his friends. Still, his ambition was not yet achieved. He started his Minecraft series in May 2012, when it was released on Xbox360. He realized he was gaining more viewers as his time went on. Suddenly, he met a man called David Spencer, also and more commonly known as IBallisticSquid or just Squid on YouTube, who has been his gaming partner since January 2013.
He didn't expect to do the quantity that he is doing with David, so that was a surprise. Suddenly, on December 2, 2013, Joseph's YouTube channel sadly stopped. Awareness was made, and later that day, the YouTube account was restored.
In 2014, Joseph appeared in some TV programs, such as Appsolute Genius with Dick and Dom. The next year, 2015, Joseph appeared in his only Disney related project, Gamer's Guide to Pretty Much Everything, where he starred as Stampy Cat in the Gamer's Championships. In Diddy TV, Garrett was Diddy Stampy.
His YouTube channel began to grow and grow, and he reached 7 million subscribers on YouTube in February 2016. He has also played and commentated Disney Infinity.
Personal life[]
Joseph has partnered two people: Melanie Candy and Sqaishey aka Kye Bates. Joseph split up with Melanie in late 2012, and began dating Kye in 2013. Kye was one of Joseph's Minecraft Helpers, and so was Melanie. In 2019, Joseph and Kye got married. They live in Havant, Hampshire.

In 2014, Joseph nominated for two awards: The Game Awards (Trending gamer) and the 4th Annual Streamy Awards (Gaming). In 2015, he was nominated for two more awards: 2015 Kids Choice Awards (UK favourite tipster) and 5th Annual Streamy Awards (Gaming). In 2016, he was pending for 2016 Kids Choice Awards (UK favourite tipster).
