Jeanette Nolan was an American radio, film, and television actress. For Disney, her roles included Ellie Mae in The Rescuers, Widow Tweed in The Fox and the Hound, and Gertie in The Sky's the Limit for The Wonderful World of Disney.

Nolan was born in Los Angeles in 1911 and graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School. Nolan began her acting career at the Pasadena Playhouse. While a student at Los Angeles City College, she made her radio debut in 1932 and appeared regularly in series, such as Young Doctor Malone, Cavalcade of America, Nicolette Moore in One Man's Family, and The Great Gildersleeve.

Her film debut came in 1948 in with Orson Welles' adaptation of Macbeth. She continued her film appearances with The Big Beat, The Wild Women of Chastity Gulch, Words and Music, No Sad Songs for Me, Saddle Tramp, Hangman's Knot, The Reluctant Astronaut, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance, The Winds of Autumn, Avalanche, The Horse Whisperer, and was one of the uncredited voices of "Mother" in Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho.

Her many television credits included Crossroads, State Trooper, Gunsmoke, Richard Diamond, Private Detective, Peter Gunn, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Have Gun – Will Travel, Perry Mason, Bat Masterson, The Eleventh Hour, The Richard Boone Show, Wagon Train, Combat!, Dr. Kildare, The Real McCoys, The Twilight Zone, Night Gallery, Dirty Sally, Laredo, The Virginian, Ironside, Hawaii Five-O, The Mothers-in-Law, Columbo, The Golden Girls, The Love Boat, My Three Sons, Charlie's Angels, The Incredible Hulk, Quincy, M.E., and Night Court.

Nolan died of a stroke in Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on June 5, 1998.
