Doc Hogg is the kindly country doctor on Bear in the Big Blue House. He's fond of conversations (although he has a tendency to finish other peoples' sentences) and pie. He's also fond of jokes based on wordplay. Tutter seems somewhat in awe of him and refers to him as "Doctor Hogg."
Doc Hogg is also fond of social games, such as card games and chess. As a social animal and the community physician, he's friends with most of the residents in Woodland Valley, including Bear and Jeremiah Tortoise. He first appeared in The Big Blue Housecall when he came over to give everyone a checkup. In the end of the episode, he used his stethoscope on Tutter's chest when he asked him about the sound inside his chest. So Doc Hogg said, "all right, Tutter, let's check it out." So the little mouse went to him and he laid on his hand as a pillow and Doc Hogg used his stethoscope to check it out.
