Ariel Winter Workman, known professionally as Ariel Winter, is an American actress, voice actress, and singer. She is best known for portraying Alex Dunphy in the ABC sitcom Modern Family, which she starred in from 2009 to 2020, as well as voicing Penny Peterson in the 2014 DreamWorks animated film Mr. Peabody & Sherman.
Her Disney voice roles include voicing Princess Sofia and her evil copy in Sofia the First, Gretchen the Fireside Girl and Wendy Stinglehopper in Phineas and Ferb, Marina in Jake and the Never Land Pirates, some of Thumper's sisters in Bambi II, and young Kairi in Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep.
She is expected to reprise her role as Princess Sofia in the spin-off series Sofia the First: Royal Magic.[1][2]
