Synopsis[]

Kawakami takes over and tells Sawamura that his feelings reached everyone and asks him if he can let them handle the rest. Sawamura then "charges" the ball - something Kawakami did for him during their match[1] agains Yakushi - and handles it to Kawakami with the words: "I've charged everything into it." In the dugout Kataoka explains that he didn't want to give their opponents anymore openings to exploit. So he tells Sawamura to let the team handle the rest. After a short banter with Furuya Sawamura cheers loudly from the dugout, delaying cool down to watch the rest of the inning. On the pitching mound Miyuki and Kawakami talk about how Sawamura's pitches have been out of shape: But both are sure that he tried to pitch while shouldering everything he could. Miyuki says that he wanted to be able to do more for him. Kawakami agrees. The 3rd year battery then retires the 9th batter by forcing a fly-ball to 2nd and then strikes out the lead-off with the sinker. They showed a perfect relief, preventing Yura from grabbing the momentum.

At bottom of the 4th inning Miyuki manages to hit a homerun and thus equals the score. Zono pulls one to the left field and gets on 2nd. Next batter is Toujou who hits a slider. It's a line drive to the right foul line. Zono is able to round 3rd base and Seidou takes the lead. Masashi is struck out. Kanemaru hits a grounder to Yura's shortstop, who chases it down but is only able to stop it from going further to outfield. So it's 1 out, runners on 1st and 3rd; next at bat is Kawakami. He grounds the 3rd pitch, a fastball, and Toujou runs home immediately thus scoring their 3rd run in this inning.

Kawakami holds Yura off until the 6th inning without losing any runs. Sawamura is determinded to start everything from the beginning starting from today after recalling Miyuki's words after his homerun: "The ace is not alone when it comes to carrying the team." Masashi slams a 2 run homerun in the 7th inning and it's a called game. Seidou wins.

Yura's seniors are seen crying after losing the game but they say that they are glad to have been able to play against a team like Seidou. Sakaki congratulates Kataoka and says that Sawamura's debut as the ace was similar to what Kataoka's ace debut was back in the days and tells him to help him grow into a good pitcher.

Seidou then moves to watch Hachiya Ouji's game. Hajiouji's captain, is known as the "master of defense" and their short stop is also the "short stop among short stops" in Tokyo. They have always been a team that's strong on defense but their offense has been bolstered a bit as of late.

Okumura who is sitting next to Sawamura tells him that todays performance couldn't hold a candle to the one he showed at the game against Seihou and offers him to tag along if their is anything he can help him with.
