Winter is coming, as they say, and while the thermometer drops, there’s no better way to defrost than with a hot cocktail. Several of Denver’s coziest bars and restaurants have introduced seasonal winter warmers to the menu to curb the chill from the inside out. So drinkers can cozy up and enjoy some of the city’s hottest offerings, from hot buttered rum to Spanish coffee. Here are 10 favorites.

Death & Co. is already one of Denver’s hottest places to be, and the colder months will be no exception. The Clay Pigeons blends Middlestate coffee, Leopold’s Maryland rye, Giffard Banane du Bresil, and Benedictine with toasted oat cream and nutmeg.

Call’s Hot Buttered Rum is a twist on the traditional — it starts with spiced butter batter (cinnamon, clove, allspice, anise seed, black pepper, and nutmeg) and adds in Plantation rum, Noval Ruby port, hot water, and an aromatic fennel whipped cream.
