Greenery also bedecks the patio at this LoHi neighborhood joint, where couples and families alike get together for easygoing eats like artichoke-heart fritters with thyme Dijonnaise, prime rib dips with peppers and mushrooms, and lobster mac-and-cheese with prosciutto. An open secret in Cherry Creek, the cozy courtyard flanking Richard Sandoval’s Pan Latin refuge in the Hotel Clio is prime date-night real estate. Here’s a place to cuddle up discreetly over passion fruit margaritas and Oaxacan Old Fashioneds alongside smoked swordfish dip with plantain chips, blackened tuna tacos with poblano tartar sauce, and lomo saltado in cumin demi-glace and sesame oil. (Or come for brunch, when bottomless mango mimosas and shrimp-and-corn enchiladas await.)

Umbrella-topped tables and flowering plants make the back patio of this Colombian charmer feel like a vacation retreat — and dishes like beef empanadas, fried plantains topped with chicharrones and avocado, and chicken- and pork-filled tamales with potatoes and peas only boost the mood, especially when paired with cocktails such as the Huaracan Chiva featuring Tingala, rum, maracuyá, and piña.
