Sit-Down Indian Fare Heads to Cherry Creek

Zaika co-owner has a new venture on his hands

The Zaika family of restaurants adds to its Indian food universe with a new location in Cherry Creek. Owner Eddie Ganesh plans to open Mehak India’s Aroma in a 2,800-square-foot space at 250 Steele St., the former home of Ondo’s Spanish Tapas, close to the Cherry Creek Shopping Center, according to Business Den.

Ganesh and his business partner Bobby Lamsal want to open a table-service Indian restaurant in the space.

The duo already applied for construction permits as well as a liquor license, and pending city approval, plans to open Aroma by Dec. 1. Since the space already hosted a restaurant, Ganesh tells Business Den that the room only needs new decor.

The Littleton-based company already has locations in Broomfield and Littleton

By Sept. 29, Ganesh plans to open Zaika of Castle Rock, serving lunch and dinner.
