Seven Awesome Beer Events to Check Out This Week

LAFAYETTE Post Brewing Company kicks off the release of the new canned editions of Meathooks Mild Ale and Ol' Zippy Premium American Ale with a special release party on Tuesday, May 24. The party starts at 4:30 p.m. at the West End Tavern with classic barbeque and beer pairings and swag giveaways. If you can't make it to the party, the two ales will be available in stores and restaurants across the Boulder and Denver areas beginning May 15.

RINO Ratio Beerworks launches the Ratio Quiz Show on Tuesday, pitting teams of audience members against a panel of self-described experts for rounds of cartoon trivia. If the expert team wins, the audience prizes will a bad batch of prizes; if a team from the audience wins, the first place prizes are promised to be "AWESOME." SOUTHEAST DENVERCopper Kettle Brewing launches the Apricot Saison brew just in time for summer on Wednesday, May 25. Visit the brewery any time after 2 p.m. to try the new brew along with treats provided by Pavy's Food Truck.

ARVADA Kline Beer Hall welcomes 4 Noses Brewery with a five course inaugural beer dinner on Thursday. The first course begins promptly at 7 p.m.. Tickets can be purchased for $55 each at the beer hall. For more information, check out the event page.

RINO — Chocolate lovers: head to Zephyr Brewing Company on Friday for an intimate chocolate and beer pairing featuring sweets from the Chocolate Lab. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased here.

SOUTH BROADWAY — Starting at noon, Black Project Spontaneous & Wild Ales releases two new brews, the Starfire and Starfighter, with Former Future Brewing Company on Sunday. AURORA Dry Dock Brewing releases six-pack cans of the celebrated Sour Apricot brew. The beer is now available at both North and South Dock and is expected to be across Colorado liquor stores this week.
