Independence Day is upon us and many of Denver's restaurants are celebrating by taking the day off. Eater has compiled a large but not comprehensive list of restaurants that are closed tomorrow and some that have committed to staying open. Special events are also listed. Happy 4th!

DOWNTOWN– Tonight, July 3 starting at 9:30 p.m., Imbibe will host the Independence Eve After Party at the McNichol's Building (144 W. Colfax Ave) to benefit the Civic Center Conservancy. After the symphony and fireworks, party the night away with craft beer, fancy cocktails, great music and food. This event is open to the public, with a suggested donation of $10 to the Civic Center Conservancy. Food and beverage tickets will be sold on premise. RSVP online today to beat the lines.
LODO– On Thursday, July 4 at 6:30 p.m., Wynkoop Brewing Company is celebrating the Fourth of July with a pre-fireworks whisky dinner. The event features a four-course menu with each course paired with a Wynkoop beer and a special whisky. Leading this spirited affair will be Colorado's legendary toastmaster and whisky guru, Robert Sickler. Wynkoop head brewer Andy Brown will also be on hand to discuss our revolutionary American beers.The meal will end in time for watching the Coors Field fireworks two blocks down the street. LOHI — Linger will be open on July 4 with DJ Ultra Violet spinning on the rooftop. Reservations are highly encouraged and can be made at 303.993.3120.
GOLDEN TRIANGLE — Charcoal is celebrating Independence Day by opening early at 4 p.m. and serving up lobster, burgers and a variety of summer dishes. The restaurant will be open until 10 p.m.
DENVER/MULTIPLE LOCATIONS — Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom, a casual dining restaurant serving pizzas and a wide beer selection, celebrates Independence Day with the America's Mini Tour. The Mini Tour features eight American-brewed craft beers, including Rogue American Amber, Newcastle Bombshell, Leinenkugel's Summer Shandy, and Anchor Liberty Ale. Guests can enjoy this selection until on July 24.
GLENDALE— Jax Fish House & Oyster Bar Cherry Creek is inviting a limited number of guests to be the first people to enjoy their new rooftop deck. On July 4, starting at 1 p.m., for $25, guests will receive one cocktail and the finest and freshest unlimited appetizers to celebrate the opening of the new location. Tickets are available online through Imbibe.
PARKER— Brick House Tavern + Tap, located at 19320 Cottonwood Drive in Parker, will offer its signature Chicken & Ribs, usually reserved just for Sundays in family-style portions all week, including on the 4th of July. Guests can order the American favorite for one, two, four or six people through Sunday, July 7.
