Third Taco Bamba Opening in Springfield on September 14

CHINATOWN—Texas-based Bar Louie is hosting a “Louie Loves” fundraiser to benefit victims of Hurricane Harvey: 10 percent of sales on Thursday, September 14, up to $50,000, will go to the American Red Cross.

DOWNTOWN—Café du Parc at the Willard Intercontinental just got more kid friendly. There’s a new children’s menu for lunch and dinner, complete with an activity page so parents can enjoy date night. Tikes can order penne pasta with tomato sauce, salmon filet with butter rice and broccoli, crispy chicken tenders, and steak frites.

GAITHERSBURG—During Washington Redskins home games, head to Old Town Pour House (212 Ellington Boulevard) for the chance to win a Redskins jersey. Enter by buying a Sierra Nevada Sidecar or Tropical Torpedo for $5. FYI: The first home kickoff is this Sunday, September 9.

MULTIPLE LOCATIONS—Customers can now get free Jrink juice in exchange for being eco-savvy. Bring back washed-out bottles to any of its five area locations for a stamp; collect 10 and get a juice on the house (or $15 online gift card). The cold-pressed juice bar’s new recycling program is part of its plan to be a zero-waste company.

SPRINGFIELD—Restaurateur Victor Albisu’s latest Taco Bamba location, the third in his casual taqueria chain, has an opening date: Thursday, September 14. Chilaquiles lovers will have to wait a few weeks; breakfast service is scheduled to kick in at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 4. Check out the menu here.
