Residents of the Palisades neighborhood of D.C. will soon get to experience not one, but two different restaurant/market projects from the Black Restaurant Group in their neighborhood.

A combination coffee shop, cafe, and butcher shop from the prolific restaurant company is slated to eventually open at 4885 MacArthur Blvd. NW, right near neighboring sister restaurant BlackSalt. The cafe is going in the space formerly occupied by jewelry design firm Ann Hand.

A spokesperson for the restaurant group said the details of the concept are still being finalized, and there's no name yet for the cafe and shop. But they're hoping to open the doors by early 2017.

The company has been operating BlackSalt, a combination restaurant and fish market, at the neighboring storefront 4883 MacArthur Blvd. NW since 2004 (it underwent renovations last year). The restaurant group includes such other destinations as Pearl Dive and Republic.

The Palisades neighborhood hasn't seen much restaurant activity over the past year or two, though Lupo Verde is planning to open a location there later this fall.
