1) ALEXANDRIA: Expect a new smoothie restaurant to arrive in Old Town. Patch reports Tbaar will open at 1020 King Street. It’s a chain out of New York with several locations. [PLYWOOD]

2) DOWNTOWN: There’s now a firm location for the Fat Pete’s opening in D.C. (a College Park one is on the way as well). PoPville observes signage that the barbecue place is coming to the former Amorini Panini space at 801 18th St. NW. The original Cleveland Park location is one of D.C.’s favorite sources for barbecue. [PLYWOOD]

3) ROCKVILLE: Little Dipper Hot Pot House is headed to Rockville. Chinese hot pot will be the focus there, but the dish is served in individual bowls with a choice of protein. The restaurant is occupying the former Noodles & Co. space at 101 Gibbs St., according to Robert Dyer. Looks like there's a Falls Church location as well. [PLYWOOD]

4) PALISADES: It’s pastry time for the Palisades. PoPville reports Kristina’s Cafe is close to opening at 4418 MacArthur Blvd.
