Back in 2019, Plano biscuit sandwich favorite The Biscuit Bar set out with ambitious expansion plans, eyeing four new locations throughout the metroplex. On Wednesday, its latest outpost will open in Arlington at 1707 N Collins Street. That’s in the Champions Park entertainment district, near AT&T Stadium.

Husband-and-wife owners Jake and Janie Burkett had originally planned on a mid-March opening for the new Arlington outpost (their fourth overall), but held off due to the coronavirus pandemic. Now, they’ve decided to open up the new spot to serve its comfort food for takeout. Customers can order online, either on The Biscuit Bar app for take-out, or DoorDash delivery.

“We are so thankful for the continued support throughout the entire metroplex at all of our locations. It is not easy being a small business owner these days, but we are grateful for our customers and we will make it through this together,” Janie Burkett said in a press release.

The space spans 3,024 square feet, with an expansive two-story patio, lots of televisions for future game watches, and neon signage displaying puns about tater tots. Besides biscuits done up with pulled pork, fried chicken, sausage, and ribeye, the menu also focuses in on different tot toppings (like taco meat-topped tater tots or tots with toasted marshmallows).

In addition to the Plano, SMU, and Deep Ellum outposts (and now this new Arlington location), The Biscuit Bar owners anticipate opening this summer at the Fort Worth Stockyards.
