I am sharing a tutorial for 5 Minute Twine Pumpkins to Create for Fall with a few simple supplies from Dollar Tree. Do you have a few minutes to craft? Then transform a spool of twine, some floral wire, and hot glue into a pair of quirky pumpkins sure to fit in any Autumn home décor. I love when such simple supplies as natural jute string can be transformed into the most adorable set of pumpkins that are perfect for a tiered tray display. Add YOUR personal touch by changing up the ribbons.

Here's what you need to make Dollar Tree Twine Pumpkins:
- Natural Jute Twine – Dollar Tree
- Floral Wire – Dollar Tree
- Silk Flower Leaves – Dollar Tree
- Ribbon, Lace, Orange Gingham, Black Buffalo Check – Dollar Tree
- Small Tree Branch
- Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
- Scissors
- Wire Cutters
- Pencil
- Ruler – I love my metal ruler from Fiskars!
Here's how to create Twine Pumpkins with Dollar Tree Supplies:
STEP ONE
To begin the 5 Minute Twine Pumpkins, gather all supplies. For each pumpkin, measure and cut six lengths of floral wire that are six inches long each and trim with wire cutters.
STEP TWO
Wrap natural jute twine around the palm of your hand twelve times. Thread one of the six-inch pieces of floral wire through the twine bundle and twist the ends to secure. Repeat five more times to create six bundles in total.
STEP THREE
Gather three bundles of twine together and twist to secure. Repeat with the next three bundles and then trim the excess floral wire with wire cutters.
STEP FOUR
Apply hot glue to the wired center of one bundle and press bundles firmly together. Once the glue has dried, fan out the loops of natural jute twine of each bundle to create the body of the pumpkin.
STEP FIVE
Collect a small tree branch from the yard and cut it into one-inch long pieces with the wire cutters. Secure a tree branch stem and a silk leaf in the center of each pumpkin with a glue gun and glue sticks. Accent with a bow tied with lace, orange gingham, or black buffalo check ribbon.

Beth these are brilliant in their simplicity, low cost and rustic charm! How cute they would be at a fall or Thanksgiving table as individual table favors for guests.
Thank you Debbee!!
Very cute idea! I didn’t have any “twine” in hand so I thought I’d try ribbon and some stuff I had that is kind of a cross between twine and yarn and it does not work. It’s not stiff enough and just looks like a messy ball of something. LOL You may want to mention to your readers it MUST be TWINE. This is one project where substitutions just won’t do. So, off to the dollar store I go! Can'[t wait to give it another go. Thanks for sharing!
🙂
Thanks for your input Drea, I’ll make sure to add that note to my post! 🙂
