Sending Hugs and Crokisses Card

Hi there!
Samantha here, and today I'm sharing a pretty, encouraging floral card!

I really love those crocus flowers! And it's been a while since I colored them up!

Let's make this card together!

- I started by stamping and coloring the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers! It's hard to tell, but each flower is colored a different shade of red/pink!
- once they were all dry, I added some details with a white gel pen, and then fussy cut them out
- I used Blueprint Sketch, Wilted Violet and Peacock Feathers Distress Inks to create the ink blended background.
- then I placed the stencil on top, and used the same colors, but with more pressure, to ink blend again!

- I also splattered some water and ink color on the background, too!

- I finished by adding some clear droplets on the flowers, which totally reminds me of dew!

This card wouldn't be too hard to make one layer! You could stamp the flowers, mask them off, ink the background, then color the flowers! But I popped up 2 with foam tape, because I love dimension! lol!

I used the beautiful Crokisses stamps set, and for the background, I used the cool and graphic Diagonal Grid!

There is ALWAYS a fun challenge going on in the Create a Smile Stamp Facebook group page! It's fun and filled with prizes! I love seeing all of the incredible, unique and amazing inspiration!

To brighten up your day

Hello crafty friends, it's Kerstin here!

Today I have a little underwater scene for you. Hope you like it!

It's hot around here (Berlin) and I'm longing for vacation at the ocean. That's why I enjoy creating cards with underwater scenes a lot lately.

  • stamp, color and fuzzy cut the stamped Images
  • create an inkblended background in your favorite colors

  • sponge the egdes of the paper in a darker color to create  more depth
  • spritz on some water
  • adhere the stamped Images with foam tape or glue dots

To save some money and ink use colored cardstock in a very light color as a base for your ink blended backgrounds. That's what I did on this card.

So Many Flowers... Happy Birthday

Hey stampers, Anni here!

Today's card is full of flowers.

I learned this technique from one of Kelly Latevola's amazing videos. I tried it once before and found it easy but loved the effect. So I decided to do it a second time.

AS I already told you is the technique not too difficult. For the instructions how to achieve this look you can watch Kelly's video on this rechnique. It is called Watercolor Bleaching.

  • Instead of Copics I used coloured pencils for the shadows. I had the feeling my Copics didn't go well with the embossing and the Oxide inks.
  • Use dark colours for your card The effect is much more stronger with darker colours.

Sending You Crokisses!

Hi there!
Samantha here today, sharing a rainbow floral card with you!

I love flower stamps! And honestly, I have a friend who lost a dog recently, and I wanted to send her some love.

Let's make this card together!

- on a piece of white cardstock, I added some rainbow watercoloring with Distress Inks
- I squished the colors from the ink pads onto my Kraft Mat, spritzed with water and then pressed my cardstock on top of it!
- let it dry and do this again! I did this three times to build up the watercolor layers!
- once the final layer of watercolor is dry, stamp your image multiple times in each 'color family' until you're happy with the number of images!

- fussy cut out and set aside
- using a piece o dark grey cardstock, add some Black Soot Distress Ink to the top edge and splatter on some black archival ink
- add the flowers to the bottom of the card (adding foam tape to a few of the images)
- heat emboss the sentiment

Guys, I **know** that I can't color flowers like some of the amazing designers out there! Some ladies are just INCREDIBLY talented and can bring flower images to LIFE! But even though I can't color like that, it doesn't stop me from enjoying those types of stamps!!! I just find other ways to add colors to those imags that I'm happy with! That's why I created this card!

This card was created with the gorgeous Crokisses stamp set! LOVE how beautiful those flowers are! (And they're so easy to customize!)
