English: Shitan Township is a township in Miaoli County, Taiwan. It is located in a mountainous area with a mild, sub-tropical climate. Its rainy season is from May to September. Shitan is short on medical resources. It does not have a hospital or clinic, people often have to travel to Miaoli city to get a health care service.

中文（臺灣）：獅潭鄉是 臺灣苗栗縣的一個鄉，位於苗栗縣大湖地區。氣候屬於副熱帶季風氣候，溫和多雨，雨季主要在5月至9月。獅潭鄉因醫療資源缺乏嚴重，所以當地人稱為無醫鄉，當地沒有大醫院及診所，只有一間衛生局，能夠提供簡單的小症狀，若有重大疾病則需要到苗栗市區。
